RESPONSE TO GAZETTE ARTICLE THURSDAY 25TH MARCH 2010

We would like to re assure our users that the Community Centre is NOT under any threat of closure and is infact doing very well at present with many bookings well into 2011 already!
We have a 25 year lease which has 23 years remaining.  We have spoken with the Gazette who have apologised and are going to publish the correct story.

SO it is BUSINESS AS USUAL

ALL ARE WELCOME AND WE HAVE SPACES AVAILABLE FOR NEW GROUPS

NEW ROOMS AVAILABLE TO RENT

 

We are pleased to be able to offer a further two rooms for rent here at Ridgewood.  The two first floor rooms are within the cottage end of the building and have been refurbished to a very high standard.  Both rooms will comfortably accommodate 15-20 people and come equipped with tables, chairs & a white board.  There is also a toilet and kitchen area.

HALLMARK 1, 2 & 3

 We are delighted to have been awarded all three hallmarks.  We are the first organisation in the county to secure all three in one go!

The aims of the Hallmark Awards are to:

  • Encourage, establish and reward good practice
  • Encourage improvement in established customs and procedures
  • To obtain recognition from other bodies of the standard of management of community facilities
  • The first Hallmark Award focuses on the management and administration of the charity
